Spa Treatment

Spa treatment in Karlovy Vary has a tradition of over 600 years, specialising in circulatory diseases, digestive disorders, oncological conditions, and musculoskeletal disorders. Information about treatments is available at reception.

Mineral Springs

Of the 79 Karlovy Vary springs of varying output, 13 are used for drinking cures. The mineral waters share a similar basic composition, but due to differing temperatures and carbon dioxide content, they have varying effects. Cooler springs generally have a mild laxative effect, while warmer springs have a calming effect, slowing the secretion of bile and gastric juices. You can taste the spring water from a traditional Karlovy Vary drinking cup, which you can keep as a souvenir. These are available at every news stand. Long-term use of mineral waters should always be consulted with a spa physician.
