Not far from Karlovy Vary, there are several ski slopes with ski lifts and cable cars where you can enjoy carefree winter fun. Near the village of Boží Dar there are over 120 km of cross-country ski trails of varying difficulty.
Bublava – Ore Mountains
A compact ski resort in the western part of the Ore Mountains, north of Kraslice, near the German border. Relaxed skiing without stress or queues, wide slopes of all difficulty levels with quality machine grooming, 1 original and 3 new ski lifts, full technical snowmaking, a varied selection of time and points-based passes. 750–935 m.
Klínovec South – Ore Mountains
A chair lift leads to the summit of the highest peak in the Ore Mountains, from Jáchymov directly to the top of Klínovec (1,244 m a.s.l.). The lower station is approximately 3 km from the centre of Jáchymov, and the upper station approximately 3 km from the highest-altitude town in the Czech Republic – Boží Dar. Lower station at 802 m, upper at 1,230 m.
Kraslice – Ore Mountains
A ski resort in the Ore Mountains in the town of Kraslice on the German border, suitable for recreational skiers, parents with children, and ski courses thanks to its large, clear terrain. A restaurant with refreshments is available at the lift.
Náprava Jáchymov – Ore Mountains
A ski resort on the slopes of the Ore Mountains, immediately above Jáchymov at an altitude of 800–930 m. 7 slopes of all difficulty levels, 3 lifts, regular grooming, artificial snowmaking, evening skiing, ski school, rental, ski service, free parking, restaurant, accommodation.
Neklid near Boží Dar – Ore Mountains
Located on a highland plateau on the state border with Germany. Parking, rentals, ski school, fast food. 4 km of blue and red runs, 6 lifts, snowpark, evening skiing. Groomed cross-country trails.
Novako Boží Dar – Ore Mountains
A small resort on the gentle south-western unforested slope directly in the village of Boží Dar. Two slopes of 265 and 350 m length with two ski lifts, ideal for beginners and families with children, snow tubing. Equipment rental. Regular daily operation including evening skiing.
Nové Hamry – Ore Mountains
The village of Nové Hamry is situated in the valley of the Rolava and Bílý potok rivers in the most preserved part of the Ore Mountains, in the far west of the Karlovy Vary Region. Today it is a sought-after recreational destination, particularly in winter, thanks to excellent skiing conditions for both downhill and cross-country skiing.
Pernink – Ore Mountains
A charming Ore Mountains resort offering: 3 ski lifts (250–300–700 m), artificial snowmaking, downhill ski rental, cross-country ski rental, and snowboard rental. 1 baby lift with ski tuition available, evening skiing. Ski school, rental, refreshments.
Ski Resort Potůčky
Local skiing 30 km north of Karlovy Vary towards Johanngeorgenstadt (Germany) on a 600 m slope served by a T-bar lift. Free parking (immediately next to the lift), a stylish log cabin buffet with a children's corner and ski rental.
Skiareal Mariánské Lázně
The total length of the ski runs in the resort is approximately 1.5 km. A cable car and two modern ski lifts transport skiers. Ski bar, ski rental, ski service, facilities, ample parking, ski and snowboard school. 652–758 m.
